Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Cuely iOS app.

What We Collect

The current version does not require sign-in, phone number verification, or an account. We do not operate a backend service for syncing phrases, and we do not actively collect your phrase content.

The app stores the following information locally on your device by default:

• Phrases you add, favorite status, and copy history
• App settings
• Third-party model API keys that you choose to save

API keys are stored in iOS Keychain and are used only when you choose to call the corresponding third-party model service.

Optional AI Generation

If you enable AI generation and configure a third-party model API key, the app sends your generation prompt to the model provider you choose, such as OpenAI, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Kimi, or Zhipu AI.

These requests are sent directly from your device. We do not relay, store, or analyze these requests through our own servers. Each third-party provider processes data according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Clipboard and Sharing

When you tap copy, the app writes the selected phrase to the system clipboard. When you tap share, the app opens the iOS system share sheet, and you choose the destination.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual phrases in the app. Uninstalling the app removes app-local data, although iOS Keychain behavior may vary by system settings. If an old key appears after reinstalling, you can clear it in the app settings.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Updates

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date on this page and provide notice through the app or App Store page when appropriate.
